Frequently asked

What makes a good event horse?

Bravery and honesty cross-country, a good gallop, soundness and a trainable temperament for the dressage phase. Many successful event horses have some Thoroughbred blood.

Can I see the horse cross-country before buying?

Ask the seller for recent cross-country video and, if possible, try the horse over a few fences yourself during the viewing.

Does Trotmark verify the horses?

No. Listings show what the seller declares and are labelled as such. Always arrange your own pre-purchase examination before buying.
