Frequently asked

What is a schoolmaster?

An experienced horse established at a higher level that can teach a less experienced rider the movements. Schoolmasters are usually older and valued for their training and reliability.

What should a dressage horse PPE include?

Discuss it with your vet: typically a clinical examination, flexion tests, lunging on hard and soft ground and a set of X-rays; some buyers add blood tests and an ultrasound.

Does Trotmark verify the horses?

No. Listings show what the seller declares and are labelled as such. Always arrange your own pre-purchase examination before buying.
